Imam Ali is the first Shia Imam who ruled from 35 BCE to 40 CE. He was from the Banu Hashim family and was the son-in-law of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Imam Ali is known as one of the prominent Islamic figures and has played a significant role in the history of Islam. He has been seen in various fields including philosophy, poetry, politics, wisdom, and justice.
Imam Hassan Mujtaba (AS) was the second Imam of the Shiites and the grandson of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Imam Hassan was born in 3 AH. Among the characteristics of Imam Hassan were peace, tranquility, and kindness, with which he tried to act peacefully and rationally against arrogance and oppression. In addition to his political activities, people gave him the title of Mujtaba (i.e., the chosen one) due to Imam Hassan’s peaceful efforts.
Imam Hussein (AS) was the third Imam of the Shiites and the younger son of Imam Ali (AS) and the brother of Imam Hassan Mujtaba (AS). Imam Hussein was born on the 3rd of Sha’ban in Mecca. He was appointed as the Imam and leader of the Shiites after the death of his father and brother. Imam Hussein opposed the tyrannical and corrupt government of the second number, Yazid, and stood up for Islam and its revolution. On the day of Ashura, in a square that later became known as the “Field of Karbala”, he and 72 of his companions were martyred in front of a very large army of Yazid’s army. After his martyrdom, Imam Hussein has gained great popularity in Islamic history as a symbol of resistance, courage and justice.
Imam Sajjad or Ali ibn al-Hussein was the son of Hussein ibn Ali and the grandson of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). He attained the Imamate due to his association with his father in the Ashura uprising and the martyrdom of the Prophet. Throughout his life, Imam Sajjad comprehensively conveyed Islamic teachings to his students and the general public, emphasizing ethics, manners, and upbringing.
Imam Muhammad Baqir is the fifth Shia Imam who was born in Medina. He was the son of Imam Zayn al-Abidin (AS) and the grandson of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
Imam Muhammad Baqir is known as one of the greatest religious scholars and jurists of the Ahl al-Bayt. During his life, he gradually became one of the most prominent scholars of the Islamic religion, and many of his students are also famous in the fields of science and jurisprudence.
Imam Sadiq (AS) was the sixth Imam of the Shiites and the son of their fifth Imam, Hazrat Muhammad Baqir (AS). He was born in Medina and was martyred in 148 AH.
Imam Sadiq (AS) had a wealth of knowledge and is considered one of the great religious scholars and jurists of the Ahlul Bayt. He was very active in teaching religious sciences and jurisprudence, astronomy, medicine, Hadith, philosophy, etc. and is considered one of the prominent scholars of his time.
