Imam Hassan Mujtaba (AS) was the second Imam of the Shiites and the grandson of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Imam Hassan was born in 3 AH. Among the characteristics of Imam Hassan were peace, tranquility, and kindness, with which he tried to act peacefully and rationally against arrogance and oppression. In addition to his political activities, people gave him the title of Mujtaba (i.e., the chosen one) due to Imam Hassan’s peaceful efforts.

Imam Hussein (AS) was the third Imam of the Shiites and the younger son of Imam Ali (AS) and the brother of Imam Hassan Mujtaba (AS). Imam Hussein was born on the 3rd of Sha’ban in Mecca. He was appointed as the Imam and leader of the Shiites after the death of his father and brother. Imam Hussein opposed the tyrannical and corrupt government of the second number, Yazid, and stood up for Islam and its revolution. On the day of Ashura, in a square that later became known as the “Field of Karbala”, he and 72 of his companions were martyred in front of a very large army of Yazid’s army. After his martyrdom, Imam Hussein has gained great popularity in Islamic history as a symbol of resistance, courage and justice.

Imam Sajjad or Ali ibn al-Hussein was the son of Hussein ibn Ali and the grandson of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
